Torsional Vibration:

We use strain gauge telemetry techniques to quantify and assess torsional vibration in rotating machinery, ships’ propeller drive shafts and other shafting to identify torsional critical speeds. By using this technique we can calculate torsional shear stress, thrust, torque and power transmitted through rotors and shafting.
